Sri Mutiara Hotel Seremban

I booked a standard queen room through agoda a week ahead, but the receptionist said everything was fully booked and gave me a standard single instead. She was rude and unfriendly. The room was awful: blood on the bedsheet, another stain on the toilet bowl, and an air conditioner that wasn’t working properly. agoda showed me a promo price, but the receptionist questioned how I’d booked at that rate and said rooms at the hotel weren’t available for the promo price agoda offered.

The rooms they first try to put you in are like something from a horror movie, then you have to wait again for another one. Check-in took ages, and the Indian lady was aggressive and very rude from the start, with no manners. There was no drinking water, despite the description saying there would be, and they wouldn’t provide any. The old air con rattled, and the hallway walls were crumbling. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

The staff were kind, pleasant, and very helpful to me, and the hotel felt safe with responsible people on duty around the clock. The location is excellent, too. I understand why some reviewers are disappointed by the shabby condition, but that seems to be how they keep the prices low. Giving it one star for that feels unfair. I’d gladly stay again.

31st Jan, 6pm. My booking turned out to be full, but akak Kavitha at the reception counter was so helpful and accommodating while assisting me with Agoda about the relocation issue. She even helped me find the numbers and sort everything out. I’m grateful, because I didn’t know what to do. 🙏🏻🥹
