Nz Mansion Stay

My brother booked this bungalow through airbnb. It has a Spanish architectural feel and a nice atmosphere and setting. The pool was clean, and it works well for a family gathering. The place looks lovely in the pictures, but I wouldn't choose it for a homestay by my standards. It needs serious upkeep and a proper housekeeper, though it has a lot of potential if maintained. If you go, keep your expectations low. The rooms were just okay and smelled musty. There was no TV in the room, and the toilets weren't cleaned well, with many fittings needing replacement. A small fridge was provided in the main room, but it felt like a bare-minimum job. The shared library was in another block; it had books and a TV, but there were no channels, though perhaps we didn't know how to use it. It smelled musty throughout, and I wouldn't recommend staying or relaxing in the library. There was no kitchen unless you paid extra, and no spoons, forks, or bowls. The kitchen sink had no dish soap. The open-air family area had a dirty sofa and broken coffee table. There's a Winix water dispenser, and very little lighting around the grounds at night.
