DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City

I only stayed one night before heading to DoubleTree Melaka, but the room was cozy, clean and comfortable. The hotel has an EV charger, though you have to park on the residence side rather than the hotel side. At check-in, Najihah at the Front Office was welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful, if I remember her name correctly. The team the next morning was just as attentive and professional, though I didn’t get anyone’s name. It’s a convenient location, close to almost everything I needed, and the service made the short visit enjoyable.

Our anniversary meal was honestly disheartening. We asked the staff to sing any song for us, but they didn’t entertain the request, while a table right beside us got a birthday song from them. We’d come from the northern region because the area near UiTM Shah Alam means a lot to us, since my wife and I met there during our degree years. We were celebrating our anniversary, not dressed up, but service shouldn’t depend on appearance. We paid a high price for the seafood package and expected food to match the premium setting. It wasn’t as appealing as advertised, and the presentation didn’t justify what we paid. For that price, we expected professional service and equal treatment. We dined here in November 2025, and I hope management improves its service and customer handling.

Being able to WhatsApp the staff with questions or requests was my favorite part. Everyone replied quickly and handled things professionally. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job keeping the room fresh, both when needed and on request. The rooms were clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and the staff were so friendly. We enjoyed the city views too. Such a convenient location and great hospitality, we can’t wait to book again.

We had such a good time on our second visit to DoubleTree Shah Alam I-City, staying a few nights in December 2025. After the hassle with our buses to Shah Alam, the front desk team helped us settle in and feel relaxed right away. Thanks to Aidil, Dennis, Siva, Najihah, Cheryl, Chris, Durgha, Aiman and Ashreeq for making us feel welcome. Rafa, John and Ben at Axis Lounge also put together some great cocktails. The room was comfortable and very nice. Ours faced the highway, though you can pay a little extra for a view of the i-city amusement park. The location works well for getting to Klang, and I-City mall is just a short walk away, connected to the hotel. Breakfast was included and there was a huge spread of Indian, Chinese, Malay and western dishes, plus fresh fruit, pastries, salad and ice-cream. We enjoyed taking our time over breakfast. The guys at the hot drinks counter were happy to customize drinks, and my extra-hot coffee was no problem. We’re looking forward to a longer stay next time. Thank you.
