OYO Rooms Shah Alam Hospital

I had a terrible time dealing with two staff members. I asked politely about cancelling, but instead of helping, one questioned why I hadn’t done it the week before. If I’d known there’d be a problem, I would’ve cancelled earlier. I trust Google reviews more than Agoda apps now. Even at a 3-star hotel, customers deserve basic manners and respect. We pay for the service, not to be treated rudely. Learn customer service.

The bathroom sliding door was broken and the power suddenly went out. Staff showed no initiative to fix either problem, which made for a bad experience.

The room was small and really just suited for sleeping, but the location is handy with lots of shops nearby. I booked a queen bed without a window. The TV worked, and there was a water heater and aircon. A towel and praying mat were provided, but no soap. There’s an iron and water dispenser on every floor. The guy at reception was helpful and considerate, checking me in at 4am. Parking was easy at night, but hell from noon to 6pm.

It’s conveniently close to UiTM, where a convocation is held, but the hotel doesn’t really live up to its name. The place seems poorly maintained and dusty. My room was very cramped, and water was leaking as soon as we opened the door. 😮‍💨
