Stay far away. So rude! I’d been travelling for a week and this was my last trip, with an appointment nearby. We arrived after midnight to a dark place with the door barred and five or six dogs guarding the front. The area was very quiet. Another customer and I waited outside for about 30 minutes. We saw a head poking up over the sofa, but nobody came to greet us. I was about to leave when the other customer finally got through, so we could check in. When I went in, she asked so snobbishly, “How many more are coming in?” She looked annoyed and kept giving me dirty looks, as if I’d disturbed her sleep, then asked for my IC and a RM50 deposit. I’m a single mother travelling at night, and I’d run out of cash. For safety reasons, I never stop at an ATM. I explained and asked if I could pay by QR. I know I should have had cash, and I apologized. Then she said, “Next time, bring cash wherever you go.” You can correct me, but we should still speak politely. To the lady at the front desk: yes, I’m addressing you respectfully. You work nights and think about your safety, and about making sure you and your child are comfortable sleeping at night. That’s what I’m doing too.
