OYO 90488 Juru Hotel

The place doesn’t give you that typical hotel look, but I slept really well, and that’s what matters most to me. The bed was surprisingly comfortable given the surroundings. There’s also a Thai restaurant close by with lots of menu choices I personally like.

My biggest issue was the front desk attitude, both when I checked in and checked out. At check-in on October 17, 2025 around 3.00pm, the staff member showed no smile, had an unpleasant expression, spoke to me without looking up, and seemed more interested in the phone. I believed the staff member was a foreign individual. The manner came across as indifferent, rude, and unprofessional. Around 8:00 p.m., the counter called to ask why there were three people in my room. I explained the third person was just visiting, but the staff member didn’t seem satisfied. I questioned why she was asking, since it was still early. I could understand a question late at night, after 10:00 or 12:00 a.m., but not then. He insisted the booking platform listed this as policy. When I challenged him to show it, he couldn’t, because there was no such policy. I felt that was unprofessional and an invasion of customer privacy and rights. At checkout he again showed the same negative character, which I don’t think is appropriate for hotel staff. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously so it doesn’t happen to others.

The room had no chair or writing table, and it didn’t feel worth the money for comfort. The receptionist also left a very poor impression, with improper training and attire.
