There’s nowhere in the hotel to sit together, and the place feels soulless, without any atmosphere. The shower was clean with good water pressure, and shops and eateries are close by. I booked a standard room and only learned when I arrived that it had no windows. Apparently, rooms with windows are described as superior in the booking. It felt like a drop in standards from Thailand. It also took some effort to get the staff to let me keep my bicycle inside overnight. They told me to pay a tourism tax on arrival, though perhaps that’s standard.

I stayed one night on the third floor. It’s a budget hotel, and the stay was comfortable. The staff were friendly. Room 303 had no window.

The homestay is spacious and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, about five minutes from the hotel. Each bedroom has a queen bed and air conditioning, with an extra single bed in the master bedroom. The hall has a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. Basic things are provided, including a sofa, coffee table, dining table, fridge and kettle. The price is reasonable for what you get. A few things could be better: the toilet floor is slippery, the TV signal is unstable and often cuts out, and the shower water heater in the master bedroom needs improvement.

The management wasn't responding well even before I made the reservation. Once we checked into the homestay, I found dust on the bed and pillows. One of the two rooms had no water. I forgot to take pictures, but there really wasn't any. We also found a few bed bugs. The blankets had yellowish stains too. I didn't photograph those either, but I'm sure some other guests can confirm.

The rooms smell bad and are full of spiders. There was no kettle. When we tried to cancel the reservation, the guy was asleep, and they didn't give our money back. Very bad service.
