We booked directly through the hotel website instead of the unprofessional Agoda website. The staff responded quickly and were very friendly. Azahan helped us check in and was especially helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and had a very good layout. Great service, and we’ll definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was great, the facilities were clean, and the hotel is halal-certified. The food tasted great and came in good portions. Room service and the food choices could use a bit of improvement, but the staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were just okay, but the fridge was leaking water. Maybe they switch it off to save electricity and it defrosted or something. The shower curtain seems to be there for decoration, since the whole bathroom floor still got wet. What made this such a bad stay was the service. I needed a business invoice for a company trip claim, and they kept telling me to go through booking.com. In my past experience, other hotels I booked there could issue an invoice directly, but Rivertel wouldn’t. The trainee at reception first said the manager would arrive in the afternoon, then said there was no manager at all. When I asked them to call someone in charge, they wouldn’t. They told me to WhatsApp reception, but I got no reply. Booking.com emailed them too, and they didn’t respond. The website phone numbers also didn’t work. Reception said no one was in charge, and I have recordings of staff saying there was no manager. I wouldn’t have come if this hadn’t been a business stay. The ranking made it seem like an okay hotel, but it turned into the worst business trip experience I’ve had.

When I asked for help, nobody was there to assist. The staff ignored us, or said they didn’t know when we asked anything. There was no manager available, and the service was terrible. They just tried to send every problem back to the booking platform. Not reliable or responsible, and it was my worst experience. Think twice before booking here.
