The rooms are really spacious, and everything else was good. But the ACs are too small for rooms that size, so they get hot. They need bigger ACs.

The food was great, and I liked the view out back over the swimming pool. The bar was comfortable, too. It’s in a great location, and you shouldn’t miss the lake, just a 107 km drive away. The rooms are big, but this one didn’t have a fridge while others do.

The rooms are huge but barely furnished, and they have that motel or two-star-hotel smell. Don’t let the Montebelo name convince you, these rooms don’t measure up. If Lichinga has nothing better to offer, this might be your option.

Right in the heart of town, with everything else within walking distance. The rooms are very spacious but only have basic amenities. The restaurant and food are okay, though plenty of visitors will go somewhere else to eat. Unless you know someone who can put you up and treat you well, this is the place to stay while you’re in town.

At least the food was good. The service and rooms were bad, and the TV didn’t work. There was no one available to help. The workers need to learn how to treat customers. Lichinga needs a new hotel.
