I've stayed here twice now, and it was just as good this time. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and give the place a warm, personal feel. The location is beautiful, and the simple rooms are clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The restaurant is excellent too, with attentive service and genuinely tasty food. It's a true gem, and I sincerely hope to return many more times.

The building is beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. We were treated very well by the owners and staff. In my room, the sheets and mosquito nets had a strong smell, and the noisy street made sleeping difficult. I think the other rooms are less exposed. The restaurant food is good, though not the best on the island. A lovely hotel in Ilha de Mozambique, one of the best. We had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful place.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, but the restaurant staff were rather unfriendly. The waiting times were so long you lose your appetite: an hour for a main dish and 40 minutes for an egg at breakfast. Those waits are unacceptable.

Reception greeted us very well at first, but when the staff changed, the service quality dropped to zero. After a very unpleasant incident involving the incompetence of the receptionist and her superior, I don't intend to recommend this hotel. The manager was arrogant and condescending, tried to invent regulations, and attempted to refuse me entry to the room where my belongings and documents were. It was a scandal and a failure to respect customer rights. Comment edited on 16.10.2024 following the owner's response to my comment. The “lady” left out that nowhere was there information about this prohibition. There was a sign banning alcohol by the pool, but nothing about a ban anywhere else, either on the website or at the hotel. I have video recordings from the place clearly showing where the ban was and wasn't, both in the rooms and outside. Nobody told us about such a rule, yet the “owner” even claimed that “such a ban applies to the entire country.” The “lady” also forgot to say how this ended. Exhausted after several minutes arguing with the “owner,” we decided we wanted to cancel our stay and intended to describe and publicize what happened. Suddenly, alcohol was no longer an issue for the “owner,” meaning bringing it into the hotel had suddenly become legal, and we were allowed in. Now everyone can see, read, and judge your absolute lack of professionalism.

The view was stunning, and the music really touched the soul. Great value for the price, friendly staff, generous food portions, and plenty of variety. The best dessert on the island. I can't recommend this place enough.
