We had a wonderful stay at Mar Azul 16. The house was a great fit for our group of 16, with room for everyone to have some privacy as well as big shared spaces where we could eat and spend time together. The kitchen had everything we needed, including plenty of fridges and even one for wine. It felt like a real treat to have that level of comfort out in the bush. The upstairs ensuite bedrooms were amazing, and the bunk bed rooms were downstairs. There are loads of bathrooms. Two housekeepers came each day, and Daniel and his partner were great. The estate felt secure and was well run. The beach is very close, with magnificent views, though you’ll need a 4x4 for the steep driveway. We’d definitely book this place again. Carlin and Lize from Go Bundu deserve a special mention for answering all my many questions and being so helpful.

Right on the beach, with brilliant views and a peaceful setting. The staff were friendly, the place was well maintained, and the kitchens were well equipped. It ticked all the boxes for me.

I stayed in unit 27a and loved the views, but I wouldn't suggest it for families with small children or older people. The three bedrooms are in separate houses, and there are lots of steps. The unit wasn't clean at all and could use more maintenance.

This is specifically about house number 2. The place was a complete disaster. There were cockroaches everywhere, lots of mosquitoes with no nets over the beds, and the pool was dirty. The furniture outside was covered in stains, and some of the indoor furniture was moldy and rotten. The sheets were clearly dirty, but the housekeeper refused to change them. The bathrooms were dirty, and the shower stalls had no doors at the front. When the clogged drain caused the shower to overflow, water spread across the whole bathroom. The kitchen was dirty, and the refrigerator didn't work for our entire stay. It was never fixed, so all our food spoiled. There was no AC. The cleaning staff were rude, and the owners should be ashamed.
