Lapa Lange Game Lodge

We got upgraded, and before our game drive we could watch animals at the watering hole from our patio. I highly recommend the drive. Dinner was enjoyable and the service was great. And Olive, their adorable, very friendly dog, deserves extra points. We loved our stay.

Watching giraffes, antelope and zebras gather at the waterhole from my veranda over morning coffee was surreal. The thatched chalets are comfortable and nicely appointed, with lovely views. I found the lodge peaceful from the moment I arrived, and the welcome was warm. The lodge-organized game drive was a highlight. Our experienced guides shared fascinating things about the wildlife and ecosystem. Meals were personal and homely, with a delightful mix of local and international food. Evenings by the fire pit under the stars were magical. The sky was one of the clearest I've ever seen. Lapa Lange Game Lodge, in the heart of the Kalahari, made for a tranquil, unforgettable stay during my visit to Namibia. It felt like an authentic safari escape with comfort too. Whether you're looking for a romantic break, a family adventure or time in nature on your own, it strikes a good balance between luxury and authenticity. I'd highly recommend it to anyone traveling through southern Namibia who wants to experience its natural beauty and warm hospitality.

We came for a cheetah encounter and, although we didn't stay the night, we explored the grounds afterward and were blown away by how beautiful and well kept the lodge is. It's so peaceful that I wished we'd booked a night, but our schedule was already packed. We had lunch there and liked the setting and service just as much. Ryan at reception was warm, professional and a delight to talk with. Lapa Lange is on our list for the next Namibia trip, and we'll book a stay then.

The bushman walk in the morning and sunset safari were both amazing. We loved our guide Jared and meeting the San people. It felt like an oasis in the Kalahari desert, and we wished we'd booked a longer stay. We camped for two nights, and the site was beautiful, peaceful and clean. Our spot had its own sink and bathroom, and we were the only campers. The downside is that camping is across from reception, so you have to walk to the waterhole to see the animals. The two bungalows beside it let you watch them from your room. Dinner one night was delicious, and the lovely staff even helped with our fridge problem.
