The desert setting made it easy to switch off and just rest. Desert Whisper was my favorite of the three non-urban Gondwana pods we tried, so I waited until we'd stayed in all of them before writing this. I loved the carefully thought-out design, especially the kitchen. I'm a Jura fan, and the little details here really made the place feel special. A lovely choice if you're after something well beyond the ordinary.

We started our honeymoon here, and I celebrated my 30th birthday during the stay. The place felt really special, with complete privacy and everything we needed. The staff, food, facilities and views were all wow, and we especially enjoyed walking up the dunes.

Levienne looked after us so attentively, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The food was incredible, and there was definitely plenty to eat. With the spectacular views, lovely setting and a pool that was a welcome way to cool off, the stay went beyond what we expected.

My favorite part was being able to watch both sunrise and sunset from different corners of the pod. It's private, comfortable and well equipped, just right for relaxing with someone you love. A once-in-a-lifetime stay and a must if you're visiting Namibia.

We began our two-week trip around Namibia at Desert Whisper, and it's hard to imagine another place comparing. The landscape was stunning, and the pod suited us perfectly. My husband and I had a spectacular stay and will definitely come back. Lance was a wonderful host, and every meal from the chef was delicious. It really exceeded our expectations.
