The view from the balcony was reason enough to return. We watched incredible sunrises and sunsets from there, and ended up staying three nights after booking just one. I was traveling with my 88-year-old dad, who uses a wheelchair, and they have two rooms set up for older guests and people with limited mobility. The rooms stay cool thanks to their thick stone walls, and the staff were kind and helpful. They met all our needs and more, and the food was easily the best in the area.

My family and I stayed at Ro(t)stock Ritz for a night, and we’re still talking about it. The booklet and hiking guides gave us some history and context about the surrounding mountains, and the staff were friendly. The views were amazing, the food was great, and you really should try the Springbok Steak.

The dining veranda looks out over a stunning natural setting. The restaurant is excellent, with a great wine selection, and the staff are friendly and laid back.

The room had lots of insects because the netting inside the window was broken. Dinner was good, though, and the restaurant and staff were really nice and friendly.

We wished we’d booked a longer stay. It’s an oasis in the desert, with stunning views, a lovely pool area, and domed accommodation that looks like something from Star Wars. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I can’t recommend it enough.
