Trudie gave us excellent personal service, and the accommodation is beautiful. Our upstairs room was very spacious and self-catering, with an amazing desert view. The desert quiet is incredible, even though the city is only a couple of km away on foot. We could walk out to the dunes to watch sunset, or go through the riverbed to the sea and then into town. Swakopmund's different areas each have their own feel, and staying near the desert is one of the best options. It's a great base for exploring, but popular, so book early.

The owners were so kind and friendly. We loved our large upstairs unit and stayed for 10 days. It's a lovely, luxurious place, nicely designed and well equipped. One of the best places we've stayed ❤️.

Trudi and Karl put a lot of effort into making your stay comfortable, and the facilities they provide are top notch. Their garden feels like an oasis in the desert. Stay for two nights and get all your laundry done.

We stayed a week in August 2013, went away for 10 days, then came back to Chala-Kigi. It's ideal. The place is quiet, clean and comfortable, and we slept well. It's well located, and we walked everywhere. Owners Trudi and Karl were gracious and helpful with directions and information. There's a nice back yard where you can sit in the sun and read. The kitchen has a clothes washer, and there's a line outside for drying clothes.
