We had such a good time exploring the area, with loads to do, and were sorry to leave. We even added an extra week to our two-week stay at Salty Jackal. The first week, we joined the surf camp, which was one of the most incredible experiences. Surfing in Namibia felt really special, and our instructor, Etienne, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and keen to help us improve. Vitto, Marsha and the volunteers were all wonderful, welcoming, and so helpful.

We booked a private surf lesson for two with Griff, and it was great. The staff were all so friendly that we felt comfortable right away. We also arranged ATV riding and sandboarding in the desert through the hostel during our lovely two-night stop on our Namibia trip in September 2025.

A great vibe at this hostel, close to the center. The free breakfast was very good, and coffee and tea were available all day. They also put on a daily activity for guests, like watching the sunset or having a movie night. Totally recommend!

The team was well organized and always happy to help. I booked surf guiding for myself and beginner lessons for my 8yo god-son, and both experiences were great. For guiding, they choose a spot based on the surfer's level and the conditions. In the beginner sessions they made sure everyone felt safe and had fun. We'll definitely be back!

I felt right at home here and had such a good time. The staff are so welcoming, almost like family, and the surf hostel is kept clean and tidy. Would happily recommend it.
