Tsumeb Guesthouse Kamho

I booked two nights and paid in full, including breakfast, after they showed me a room I liked. When I came back later, they put me in something completely different. The bathroom was dirty, there were no towels, the toilet barely worked, and there were spiders in the room. The shower head was missing, so I had to shower straight from the arm. There was no breakfast on the second morning because they apparently had “no ingredients,” and the yoghurt was expired. I raised my complaints, but nothing was done. They said they'd move me to another room, but that never happened, and I couldn't find anyone at reception even on my last day. When I asked to go somewhere better, they said they had no refund policy. Honestly, everything about it sucked. Poor service. 💔😭🤦

Euch, I wouldn't recommend it. The place seems to have been okay once, but now it's dilapidated and run down. The tap leaked everywhere, the shower couldn't be used at all, and there was no kettle.

The owner adamantly refused to refund us, after initially agreeing to it. It felt like the offer was just a way to get rid of us. Our stay was terrible: cockroach-infested rooms, ceilings that leaked onto the beds and floors, a TV that was out of order, and AC that barely worked. With all those problems, we hardly got any rest.

I stayed for several days in April 2021, and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. Reception was handled by a student, the owner's son, who knew little or nothing about my arrival or booking. The room was horrible, and the door hurt me on my first night, leaving a blue mark. I told the boy, but he completely ignored me. There was no room cleaning unless requested, and even after I asked for it, nothing was done. Wi-Fi only worked at reception. Outside guests could use the garden whenever they wanted, drinking and making noise for the people staying there. The shower was so dirty that I had to wear shower slippers. The worst.
