We’re staying at the Coral Place shortlet in Abeokuta now, and it’s the worst shortlet service I’ve experienced. The rooms are dusty and unclean, the air conditioners and freezer don’t work, and there’s no internet access. The dstv decoder is also broken, and we can’t connect our own because their connections are bad. This place falls far short of excellence.

The estate is very quiet and has plenty of parking, and the balcony gives you a good view of the neighborhood. I stayed in the first-floor, two-bedroom flat. It’s furnished as a serviced apartment should be, with an inverter backing up the generator, a fully fitted kitchen, microwave, fridges, a deep freezer, and a store. The rooms have air conditioning, and the bathrooms have water heaters. Customer service and response were very good. The access road into the estate is rough, and you may want to bring your own toiletries. I’d stay here again if I’m in Abeokuta.

The maintenance has slipped. This used to be a favorite for me and my girls when we’d take the occasional weekend getaway.
