The reception staff welcomed me warmly and were very courteous. The room was good, with the usual hotel amenities. Breakfast arrived promptly in the morning, and for a token of 300 naira you can have it brought to your room. The food itself wasn’t memorable, though. I’ve had better bread and omelette.

Whenever I’m in Abeokuta, Celia Hotel is still my first choice. It costs more than some nearby hotels, but I think it’s worth the money. The place is neat, with lovely furniture and beautiful interiors. Rooms are superb, and the toilets and bathrooms are consistently clean. Breakfast is decent and included. Staff are friendly and helpful, and an active WhatsApp line makes it easy to book ahead. It’s in a serene, secure part of Abeokuta.

I was struck by how clean the hotel was, the cleanest I’ve stayed in for a while, and the staff were professional. It’s in an excellent location. I’ll stay here again on my next trip to Abeokuta. The whole city is understated.

Ibara GRA seems to me like the best area for hotels in Abeokuta generally. My room was great, apart from a bad smell coming from the toilet.
