Abatete Guest House

The rates are easy on the wallet, and the place keeps getting improvements. It’s an affordable option for an average Nigerian. You’ll find it behind the V.I.O Headquarters in Mabutshi, Abuja.

I’d call this a basic guest house for anyone watching their spending. My cheapest option cost 6k. The room was nothing special, just a small TV, wardrobe and tap water. Power isn’t assured all day, though it stayed on overnight. I ate at the restaurant too, and liked the noodles, which cost 700 naira. The staff were helpful and professional, and there’s plenty of parking. Google Maps got me there easily. If a low price matters more than extra comforts, it could work for a stay.

For a budget of around 5k a night, this place fits. The facilities are simple, but they actually work. I’ve stayed in places that looked nicer and cost more yet couldn’t get the AC to cool, so I gave this one 5 stars.

It’s a nice place to stay at a low price for Abuja, with the basic things like air conditioning and refrigeration. It’s being renovated inside at the moment. Getting around may mean taking a drop both ways, unless you’re able to walk to Mabushi junction. For this standard, prices in other states aren’t any better.
