Near Dutse Market and Dunamis Church, AJ’s Hotel and Suites is easy to reach for people visiting the Bwari or Gwarinpa area. It has studio, standard, deluxe, and executive rooms for different budgets. Beds are comfortable, rooms are generally clean and well furnished, and they come with basics like free Wi-Fi, AC, and flat-screen TVs. Room service was described as reliable, and the restaurant serves decent local and continental food, with breakfast included. Staff are polite and responsive, and guests have noted their professionalism and willingness to help. Security is adequate and the place feels safe for short or longer stays. Rates are affordable for the comfort offered, though it's not a luxury hotel. Some maintenance could be better, especially plumbing and the consistency of backup power. With a little improvement in maintenance and service consistency, it could become one of the area's top-rated hotels. I'd call it good value for a mid-range stay in Dutse Alhaji, around 3.5/5.

AJ'S Hotel & Suite sits on busy Bwari Road and offers decent service at affordable prices. The rooms are simply furnished, and the food is okay. There's a large outdoor seating area with a big screen for sports and entertainment, plus a boutique, gym, event hall, salon, lounge, and swimming pool. It's a popular hangout in that area, with a trendy crowd.

I had a terrible stay and had to ask for a refund so I could leave. The manager was very insulting, and after the water stopped flowing, they kept giving excuses all day and saying they were working on it, but nothing was fixed by night. I couldn't bathe. The food was good, and the water heater in my room worked while there was water, but they failed to fix the water problem properly. It seems this wasn't the first time, since I'd read another review of this same AJ hotel mentioning the water issue. I wouldn't advise even my enemy to go there.

The staff are polite, and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere. There's a cozy lounge, pool, and gym, with gym membership giving you free pool access.

I'd already stayed in one of your rooms before, when the water wasn't running and reception said they were pumping it. On another day, the man who served me food hissed and walked off when I asked him to get me a spoon. Customer service has been zero across different visits, but today's gym experience was the last straw. I paid 1500 for a day at reception to try the gym before deciding whether to buy a monthly membership. When I asked the instructor about aerobics times and whether he could show a first-timer what to do, he wasn't polite. I asked if he was okay, and he said, “I'm not in the mood.” Then I asked reception to help me turn on the treadmill, only to be told it didn't work and I should use a skipping rope. The exercise bike wasn't smooth either. When I went back to ask why the service was so bad, the receptionist said there was nothing she could do. I was disappointed and left, since making a scene over a 1500 daily registration would just turn into an argument about the price. You really need to do better. I wouldn't encourage anyone who asks me to come here for anything. No more.
