Candellux Imperial Hotel and Suites

I forgot the clothes I'd worn there and called to see if I could get them back. They said they hadn't found anything, which I know is a lie because I'm sure I left the clothes there. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're okay with your belongings being stolen and the hotel taking no responsibility. The worst hotel ever. Basically, the staff are thieves.

The Standard room was awful to look at, so I asked for another option. I had to check several rooms before finding one I could manage. I'd suggest looking through the rooms and choosing one before you pay.

I was here for a work event for a few days in mid April 2024, and mostly enjoyed the time because I was working and catching up with colleagues and friends. The hotel was being renovated during my stay, so that may have affected the experience. I hope things are better now, but for a hotel of this standing, I expected more than just decent. The hall was modest and had the usual equipment, including a projector and public address system. The air conditioning there worked well, and the meals were good and served on time. Breakfast was complimentary, but there was always just one option for everyone, and it came a little late. I didn't mind personally, though many of my colleagues were livid. In my view, 7:30 or later is late for breakfast. My room was a good size and nicely designed, with furniture that still looked good and was in good shape. The bathroom, though, was disappointing and very small next to the spacious room. The sliding glass shower door was missing, so water ran onto the toilet floor when bathing and didn't drain, making a bit of a mess. Housekeeping was the other thing I didn't like. They were either late or forgot towels, soap, complimentary water, and other items. The hotel is in a good part of Abuja and easy to find. The surroundings were clean and secure, the building looked fantastic, and there was a decent car park. Staff were courteous and helpful. Free WiFi worked pretty well, the electricity stayed on throughout my visit, and the elevator worked just fine.

The setting is peaceful, and the rooms are top-notch.
