Commodore Hotel Abuja

The reception used to look lovely, but over the past year it’s become bare, with empty shelves, almost as if the place is about to be evacuated. My room’s bathtub was cracked and leaked so much that water pooled across the floor. The food was very expensive and poorly made. In the morning I even had to go out and buy my own drinking water. This place has gone downhill a lot in the last two years, and I won’t stay here again.

The swimming area is so nice, honestly, and there’s also a good spot for meetings. I haven’t tried the rooms yet, but maybe another time. You really need to see the pool area for yourself.

It’s a calm, cosy place to relax, but the upkeep needs to improve. I visited the bar and pool area, and both need attention. The lovely facilities there are starting to deteriorate.

The building was clean and well lit, and the staff were responsive. But the facilities were poor, with bad taps and water systems, and the food was crazily expensive. Commodore doesn’t deserve the good staff who work there. In a place where people can change jobs easily, no one would work there.
