The staff were lovely and easy to talk to, and the customer service was wonderful. Prices seemed average, and there’s a small area to relax in the evening. It’s in central Abuja, quiet later in the day and busy during daytime.

The restaurant was a bright spot, with tasty food at affordable prices. The accommodation itself was decent and the rooms weren’t expensive, though the cost felt high for the level of service. Some fittings were broken, and the layout felt odd, with a few rooms tucked behind the main hotel. That could suit someone who wants quiet, though.

The room smelled stale and bad, so I left on my own. The bathroom fittings and tiles looked very old and as if they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and there wasn’t even a towel in my room. There was no Wi-Fi, let alone complimentary breakfast. When I checked in during the afternoon, they said there was no power and that it only came on at night. I’m still shocked that a hotel in Abuja in the 21st century seemed to rely only on AEDC. They had a generator for reception, but the rooms were left in darkness. This was my worst hotel experience. Don’t be misled by reviews from one or two years ago. I stayed last month, so this reflects what things are like now. I’d never recommend it. If you want somewhere fairly priced nearby, Vichi gates is 1000 times better, and they charge the same while offering excellent service.

I stayed there this week with several guests from out of town and booked a number of standard rooms. I think they had thoroughly fumigated them, because none of my guests mentioned insects. The hotel is nice, affordable, and close to anywhere in town.

The staff service was superb, and they served wonderful intercontinental dishes. The road has improved a lot too, kudos 👍👍👍. It’s a lovely hotel, one of the best I’ve seen. If you want to feel at home, this is a place to be.
