Lit Suites

The main drawback for me was the complimentary breakfast, which was too austere and had few choices. Parking is also tight, both in the compound and out on the street, and security sometimes has to manage the cars, especially in the evening. At times the overflow affects the street. Still, LIT Guest Suites & Hotel is a charming, small boutique hotel in an affluent business area of Abuja. It’s worth trying. The rooms are few, so it’s generally quiet, clean, well kept, reasonably spacious, and properly furnished. The setting is serene and even the street outside is usually calm, so it’s easy to rest. There’s good AC, hot water, and housekeeping. The restaurant is worth a visit for tasty local and international dishes, and the drinks can be served very cold. There’s also a bar and lounge, plus massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures. The hotel is in Wuse District on Buchanan Cresent, just off busy Aminu Kano Cresent, so guests avoid much of the traffic bustle. Barnex Plaza, known for computers, GSM phones, and accessories, is about a three-minute walk away. Several malls and restaurants are within walking distance too, so there’s plenty nearby. Shuttle service is available to the airport or elsewhere in Abuja.
