Nexus Xpress Hotel

The staff were nice, but this place honestly isn't worth it. I found out after paying that the water heater didn't work, and there was no room telephone, so I had to call reception on my mobile. The WiFi was terrible and MTN service is poor here. When I complained about the heater, they told me to boil water in the electric kettle for my bath. I also think kitchen staff sometimes give guests their personal bank accounts for meal payments. The hotel doesn't seem well managed.

The deluxe room was nice, and the staff were nice too. It's in a quiet, serene setting. But after I'd paid, the management told me the water heater worked, and only hours later, when I needed a bath, I found it didn't. There was also too little water for basic needs like bathing and flushing the toilet. It was an okay stay, but management should make things more convenient for guests.

The only polite, professional people were the gatemen. We arrived at 12am and nobody helped us find the room or move our luggage. The reception gave us a key to a room that hadn't been cleaned, so we had to go back and ask for a change. Even after paying 35k for deluxe, I was charged another 500naira for breakfast. The hotel isn't well managed at all.

The rooms are neat and the service deserves praise. It's in a quieter, less busy part of lugbe, which I liked.
