O-jays Guest House

The receptionist on duty was friendly, but the rest of my two-day stay was really poor. My room wasn’t cleaned on the second day, the restaurant staff were rude, and when I went to the bar there was nobody around to serve me. There also wasn’t a receptionist there in the morning when I was heading out. The power kept cutting in and out. It seemed like they didn’t have enough staff. Worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

The Ojay's management team and service are what would bring me back. Everyone I met there made a strong impression, and the service deserves what you might call mini five-star status. Kudos to Ojay's!

The Executive Room is worth considering, it’s spacious and has a good-sized bathroom. The rooms are clean and furnished with taste, and this is a quiet little find in Abuja for the money. Everything we ordered was delicious, though quite a few menu items weren’t available. Service was prompt, but during power cuts they sometimes took over an hour to turn on the generator, which isn’t acceptable. You’ll also need to remind them to clean your room.

I tried the coconut rice on my first visit and shawarma the next time, and both felt like good value. It’s a nice guest house inside the second gate of Prince and Princess Estate. The rooms were clean too, thumbs up to the manager.
