Parris Royal Hotel

The best part was the reception lady, Ciara or so, and the porter Habib, if I’ve got his name right. They made the stay pleasant. Uju, who I guess is the kitchen cashier, was hostile and needs customer service classes. Chisom took over and was more pleasant and professional. Mosquitoes feasted on me, and roaches kept showing up in my room. They also kept having the kitchen cashier call to ask for payment even though I was staying for a week. That’s embarrassing when they have the records. And no complimentary tea, coffee, or milk? Those are basic things a hotel shouldn’t need to be asked for. Do better!

The rooms are very affordable, and the staff welcomed us warmly when we arrived. They were friendly and attentive, and helped us choose when we weren’t sure which room to take. Whenever we raised a complaint, it was sorted out almost immediately. You should check it out!

The location is tucked away, which suited me because I wanted somewhere to hide out. The apartment was clean, the rooms were spacious and good, and the service was excellent. Yes, I’d recommend them.

We only stayed one night, Sept. 2, near the end of our Nigeria trip because our first-choice hotel was full. We ended up having a very relaxing evening at Parris Royal Hotel. The rooms were neat, clean, and spacious, with especially ornate furniture. I was most impressed by the enclosed shower and spa. It felt so inviting, with a radio for music and water jets all around. The staff were friendly, quick, and helpful, and our one dinner was appetizing. We left knowing we’ll come back for another stay.
