Rockview Hotel Royale

The room itself was spacious and comfortable, but the service really let the stay down. Staff came across as discourteous and unprofessional, and basic hospitality was missing. At dinner, the food arrived cold and wasn't good quality. Room service even wanted me to pay for a basic table knife I asked for. That shouldn't happen at a hotel claiming a decent standard. Management needs to reassess the staff and train them properly. A comfortable stay needs more than space, it needs considerate service and properly prepared meals.

It was quiet, and the pool was very clean. Trainers were there keeping an eye on swimmers in case anything went wrong. Right in the middle of Maitama, it felt comfortable and homey. I loved the place.

I waited at the reception desk for several minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I eventually called over a receptionist by the name on his badge. He said he was going to help, then disappeared and never came back. I had to call him again just to ask for an update. Really bad, dismissive service.

The gym air conditioning was so poor it felt like a sauna. Since I have a gym membership, I asked them to fix it. They said their engineer's vendor wouldn't come on Saturday, but by Monday it still hadn't been fixed.
