Safis Suites

I spent a few months here. The security was good, the whole property was very clean, and the staff were friendly. The convenient location also puts quite a lot right at your doorstep. Longer stays got tedious, though. Services weren’t consistent, the kitchen opened at random times, and prices seemed to shift. Staff could be economical with the truth, and communication with guests was often poor, including during extended power cuts and ongoing renovation noise. It’s better suited to short stays, since dealing with these issues regularly can feel isolating.

During my three weeks at IAB Apartment, it felt like a decent home away from home. The apartment is well furnished and looked after, and the WiFi was fast and dependable. Electricity in Maitama is superb, and there’s a generator on standby too. There’s also a ground floor living room if you want to get out of your room. I watched several football games there with other guests, which was really enjoyable.

A terrible experience. I booked ahead, arrived, and was told the room wasn’t available. They said I should have called to confirm the booking. The staff were unfriendly and rude. It was unprofessional and wasted my time. If I could give negative stars, I would. 0/5, wouldn’t recommend.

The rooms smelled of mold and short-time use, and the compound just had a weird feel to it. The receptionist looked annoyed, like I was bothering him. I just turned around and left, man. I hope they don’t use boys for what isn’t there.
