The outdoor bar and restaurant area is a nice feature, and everything looked neat and well cared for. Customer service was warm and welcoming. Grill House is calm, secure and easy to get to, about a kilometre from the ECOWAS Secretariat and close to Hmedix Pharmacy and a shopping complex.

The rooms are modest, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Grill House in Asokoro has become a home away from home for me over time, with excellent customer service. I recommend it.

I’ve given this place plenty of chances since it’s only two minutes from home, but I’m done. Even with a big tip, the service is awful. I just left after waiting more than ninety minutes for an omelette that never came. For a beer, you have to go to the bar yourself because the staff sit on their phones or watch TV. Then you wait another five minutes for them to bring it over. I won’t be back.

I enjoyed the food, service and the place itself, and my visit to Grill House was memorable. I hope I get to go again. I do wish they’d add African dishes, since there wasn’t any traditional food.

A peaceful spot in Asokoro, about a 45-minute drive from the airport.
