The staff were thoughtful and considerate. On my first day I woke up late and missed breakfast. The gate staff turned us back because of the policy and because there wasn’t much food left, but as we were walking away, the supervisor asked them to call us back and offered a simple meal from whatever she could put together. It was a great experience.

The pool is a good size and looks nice, but the chlorine level needs to come down. It feels harsh on the skin, and it even turned my friend’s black swimsuit purple. There’s just far too much chlorine in it.

I really enjoyed my stay in Akure. The housekeeping was reliable, fresh white towels came every day, and they kept replenishing the drinks even though I hadn’t finished the previous day’s supply. Check-in could be more attentive, especially for first-time guests, and round-the-clock laundry service would be useful.

It still feels welcoming and has that old-money character. They’ve kept the original place going over the years, and it’s aged well. Feels like home, worth checking out.
