Bon Asaba Hotel

The peaceful setting was one of the best parts of my stay at Bon Hotel Asaba. The food had lots of tasty choices, and service was excellent: staff handled every request promptly and with a smile. My room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, with all the amenities I needed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and made me feel at home. I’d happily return. It’s a great choice for comfort, class, and a home away from home.

The room was supposed to be an upgrade, but it smelled damp, and my first room hadn’t been cleaned at all. The lighting was very dim, the intercom didn’t work, and the TV and air-conditioning remotes were missing. There were no towels, soap, or cream, and the bed linen and pillows were visibly dirty. Later, I went to the poolside and found a group of heavy smokers there. The smell reminded me of Indian hemp. At dawn, there was a heated argument between hotel staff and management just outside my door. It made for a memorable wake-up call. There are some positives: the rooms are spacious with high ceilings, and breakfast is included, though the food was mediocre. But after booking a week ahead, I still waited 30 minutes when I arrived. My first night at BonHotel Asaba was a deeply disappointing experience. I hope management learns to provide more comfort and professionalism, though I doubt they’re aiming to excel.

The menu is limited, with 60% of the items unavailable. The hotel is decent enough otherwise.

If you’re looking for comfort and rest, I’d avoid Bon Hotel Asaba. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. It was a disaster, and I suspect it caters to a certain kind of guest, but certainly not decent people seeking a comfortable place to rest.
