The rates are decent, but I’d still pick somewhere else. The age of the hotel shows as soon as you step into reception, and the facilities feel quite old. It needs major renovation.

My room was spacious and affordable, and I loved the place’s old-fashioned, classic feel. I would’ve liked to use the pool, but it shuts at 6 pm when the lifeguards leave. The fair young woman at reception was cold, which spoiled what could’ve been almost a perfect stay.

The restaurant service is commendable, and the room prices are competitive for the location. It’s a classic hotel in a quiet, safe part of Asaba, with plenty of parking, a lovely pool, and a busy sports lounge that has a thriving chess club, orchid chess club, and a pool section.

It’s lost its glory and needs renovation, just like the missing R.

It’s an old-looking hotel, but there’s plenty of room for parking, exercise, and events.
