Rolarz Resorts & Hotel

Rolarz is a clean, well-built hotel on Sapele Road in Benin, before Kada Plaza. The food is good, the customer service is fine, and there's power 24 hours a day. The bathrooms are clean too. You can do photoshoots there for a fee, 20k if you're staying at the hotel and 30k if you're not. It's a good hotel, though not a luxury one. My main suggestion is to add diffusers in the rooms and bathrooms, as the smell could be fresher. Aside from that, it's a great place.

Don't let the outside fool you. Our stay was frustrating, and the room checks at check-in and check-out weren't handled properly, leaving us at risk of being blamed for issues we hadn't caused. I'd make sure staff inspect the room with you there and use your phone to document everything both when you arrive and when you leave. My friend's room had an AC that barely worked. She called reception, but nobody came to help, so she slept with the curtains open to get some air.

The food tastes good, and the location works well, especially if you're travelling along Benin-Sapele Road. Still, the staff can be a bit hostile and the customer service isn't great. There's also a distinct smell from the toilet septic tank in the room.

The location is good, but several things in the room weren't working. The room itself was okay, though the toilet smelled so bad that leaving its door open made the whole room start to stink.
