The furniture and appliances are high quality, and the rooms feel spacious and comfortable. It has that old money feel. My one gripe is the dim lighting everywhere, from reception to the rooms. Guests should be able to choose dim lights instead of having them as the default.

I had a great visit in a comfortable setting. The menu looked good, though I didn’t get to try the goat meat dish. The front desk attendants were especially warm and friendly.

The staff were helpful, and my room was roomy and clean. It was fairly peaceful, but sound carries, so I could hear people moving around at all hours, which got annoying. Tiny ants were all over the bed, chairs, and floor, so the hotel really needs fumigation. The bathroom heater wasn’t working, but they told me upfront they were waiting for a replacement and gave me a kettle to use.

The rooms are cozy, nicely furnished, and equipped with modern facilities. The location is good, and the staff are courteous and helpful. The TV selection is limited, with fewer programs than I’d expect from a hotel like this. The unreliable internet connection is too weak to be useful.

I used to really enjoy the meals here, but this jollof was disappointing, mushy and not tasty. The wait was incredibly long too. Maybe they were having a bad day, but I won’t be coming back.
