There's a lot of potential here, but terrible management and upkeep have spoiled it. The management is deceptive. If you can't inspect in person, they'll make you believe the place is in good shape, then charge five-star prices for rooms or a hall that's not fit to live in. It's not fit to be called a hotel or resort, and neither the tent nor the hall is suitable for a reception. It doesn't deserve even one star. The rooms are in very bad shape: broken bathtub, dirty rooms, and an AC so noisy it sounds like a loud generator. The tent is bad for receptions too. Its ACs don't work well, and there aren't enough fans to help.

The staff are nice, and the rooms are okay. There's a good bar and event center that's often quiet, so it suits introverts. The pool is deep and good if you can swim, with a lifeguard on duty. Beside it, there's a gym with a wide range of equipment and great instructors.

It was really good.

There are lots of places to hang out, including a nightclub, and the facility has the makings of a great place. But it seems too big for them to manage. You have to pay to use the pool, and the place needs renovation and cleaning. In my opinion, security needs improvement too. They need to reinvent the place. There's so much potential.

The atmosphere was relaxing, and I had a good time during my stay. For the best live jazz in all of Calabar, head to Cowan Jazz hall, Orange Resort for the infinite vibes.
