NEKST Hotel

The front desk team at Nekst Hotel made the stay feel especially welcoming. They were courteous, respectful, professional, and quick to respond. It really felt like a home away from home, and I’d recommend the hotel.

I had a good stay, and the staff were friendly and professional whenever I needed something. They even emailed me after I left because I’d forgotten an item, and kept it for me to collect. A bar would be a useful addition, though.

The hotel looks lovely, with attractive decor, modern facilities, and cordial staff. We booked the whole place for my friends’ wedding and had a lot of fun, but the internet in my room was a real problem. It worked in the lobby and reception, then stopped as soon as I went back to the room, so I had to sit at reception every time I needed Wi-Fi. Management knew some rooms had connection problems but still assigned them, and didn’t provide a booster or another fix. There’s also no kitchen yet, so the only options are tea or coffee.

The rooms have open-plan toilets with no door, which made sharing a room uncomfortable since you could smell the other person’s bathroom use. Apart from that surprise, we really enjoyed our weekend. I spent two nights in Ibadan with friends and family for my birthday, and the hotel was well maintained, with no bad odours. The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient, and the security guards were capable.
