The staff were kind and respectful, especially the young woman at reception, and the housekeepers were courteous too. The bathroom was comfortable, and the hotel is in a peaceful, well-located part of the city. Still, mosquitoes made the stay really unpleasant. The big generator only came on around midnight, and since the AC wasn’t switched on otherwise unless there was power or the big generator, I ended up sleeping on the floor one night. I paid for two nights, with the cheapest room going for 21,000 naira per night. I just needed a place in the city, but I didn’t find the stay comfortable at all.

The rooms are pretty small, and mine didn’t have hot water or a waste bin. There was no extra lock on the inside of the door, so anyone with a card could enter at any time. The staff were polite, and they kept the backup generator running all day.

The room itself was roomy enough and decent. I did notice some plumbing issues, and the pillows looked like they were due for replacement. Parking space is limited, but the hotel sits in a decent, safe estate. It’s an affordable place to stay around here, and you may be able to get a better room rate if you ask in person.

There aren’t any AC remotes in the rooms. If you get cold during the night, you have to either put up with it or wake up and switch the unit off at the socket. Changing rooms won’t help, none of them has a remote.

The room had a stale smell, and the toilet wall tiles were covered in stains. The inside walls could really use a full repaint. I’d come to look because of all the good reviews, but after seeing the room I didn’t book.
