Yseg Hotel Ibadan

The room was dirty and poorly equipped. There was no duvet or cover cloth, the bedspread was filthy, the WC wouldn’t flush, and the TV didn’t work. The bed frame blocked the window, leaving no ventilation, and as someone with asthma I nearly choked. Mosquitoes were everywhere, so I’m worried I’ll get malaria. Please don’t come here. The fan didn’t work at first, though they later changed it, and the AC never worked at all. They relied on Nepa light, with no generator during the outages. Power went off around 4:30 after I arrived at 3, and we sat in darkness until about 8pm. It went off again at 2am, and they still hadn’t started the generator by checkout. I don’t know why there’s a TV in the room when it doesn’t work. There was definitely no free wifi. If they can’t keep white bedsheets clean, they shouldn’t use them. They should rename the hotel haven of mosquitoes, sha.

I’ve read the reviews and have been trying to find a valid phone number to make a reservation. It’s hard to trust these online booking agents. If you see this, please reply as soon as possible with a working number I can call.

There’s a bar and restaurant, and the place is close to the road. The rooms are cool and have big beds. The doors are named after famous football stadiums. It’s a nice place.

Yseg is very basic, more like a motel than a hotel. The parking compound is small, and if you stay overnight, you might not get electricity.
