Fancourt Hotel

The rooms are spacious and cozy, and the place is clean and quiet. We felt well accommodated, the staff were friendly, and the service was great. We had an amazing time.

The food was delicious, and the hotel is worth the price. It’s a beauty to look at in popular GRA Ilorin. The grounds aren’t large, but things are well arranged and coordinated. Security is good, and the guards are welcoming and ready to work. Receptionists are always willing to help, and there’s an interesting touchscreen system for entering your name yourself. The rooms are nicely kept and warm.

It’s a peaceful place, and I enjoyed my stay, though a few things stood out. Breakfast was pap and akara in the morning, which I found strange. The power goes off at different times of day. WiFi needs an access code that you have to enter every time. The exterior paint has faded, and there’s no signboard outside, though the inside looks good. In the end, inner beauty is what matters.

The service was irritating. You can’t speak to the manager or a senior staff member. They advertise a 10% discount, then charge 7.5% and say it’s VAT. So why call it a 10% discount when the actual offer is 2.5%? It feels like a crafty move. Staff should be sincere, not crafty.
