Purple Hills Hotel

For a cheap hotel in this part of town, it’s above average, and you get a little more than your money’s worth. The rooms are decent for the price, especially if you’re on a tight budget, and the area is quiet and pleasant. I didn’t use much of the service, so I can’t really judge how efficient the staff are. There’s no intercom, just a reception number on the wardrobe. I never called it, so I don’t know if it works. The bathroom and toilet aren’t great, though they’re not so bad you’d want to throw up. Electricity was fairly steady, and there’s security.

The staff were nice and hardworking, but the inside was a letdown after seeing the place from outside. The rooms felt old and dusty, and the showers didn’t work. The pricier rooms at least had electricity around the clock. The cheaper ones smelled bad, with old, dirty bathrooms.

Such a lovely place. I don’t have much else to say, you need to come see it for yourselves.

I went in with low expectations and still came away disappointed. Of the three rooms I was shown, even the best one was unsanitary. The sheets looked as if they hadn’t been washed after the previous guest, and the other rooms smelled musty. Maybe the better rooms were already booked, but they really need to do more to keep the rooms clean.
