The waiters were attentive and made me feel welcome, and I enjoyed the delicious food, even though it was a bit pricey for my budget. I was at Kano City Center Hotel for a business trip, staying at the hotel with the same name as the location. It was clean and comfortable, with a good masjid for prayers. The shower's warm water wasn't readily available in the morning, which was inconvenient. There was no pool or garden to relax in, but the parking lot and water rushing facilities were well maintained. I had a good experience and would recommend it to others looking for 4 star accommodation in [incomplete source]. I look forward to checking in next time I visit.

For the price, it's not a bad hotel. The cheapest room is under 40k.

City centre gets my two main hotel checks right, the bed and the toilet. The toilet was spotless and modern. Highly recommended.

City Centre was a seven-minute walk from my meeting venue, and my plan worked out. I had a meeting in Kano and the venue hotel was too expensive, so I searched Google map for nearby places where I could stay and walk to the meeting. City Centre wasn't the closest, but it was the most affordable of the three hotels in the area. I stayed for three nights after negotiating by SMS with a number on a flyer in one of the photos. I pleaded that I was staying three nights and got the rate down to around 33K per night. I usually take a photo of hotel rates and upload it, so check the photos. There are three hotels in the Farm Centre Area of Kano: Guest Pride, Bristol Palace and City Centre. Bristol Palace is the most posh and expensive. All the hotels are expensive, with rates at 30K and above. As of July 2023, City Centre was brand new. Everything in the rooms was new and clean, and I got a discount. The pool wasn't ready yet. Some staff seemed inexperienced and forgot room items I had to call for. The toilet leaked somewhere. I liked the wide bath space, it made me feel like a billionaire. There's a kettle with tea and coffee ingredients in the room. Getting the right hot and cold mix on the shower knob was tricky because the water was so hot. The shower pressure reminded me of a proper 5-Star hotel, and I loved bath time. Finding nearby places to eat was the biggest problem. I only eat hotel food when I have to, and prefer to stroll out, eat somewhere else, pick up biscuits, wafers or drinks, then walk back. In this area that was a major challenge, and I ended up with bread and fried eggs from a nearby Mai Shayi. For food, take a tricycle, aka “Keke”, to Zoo road, which isn't far. There are restaurants and eateries there, plus Ado Bayero Mall, with KFC and Shoprite, the only two places in the mall I can recommend. Thankfully, the tricycle fare is cheap, 300 to 500 naira. I had Masa at a typical Kano restaurant in Zoo road before walking to the mall. Flies were everywhere and the kitchen hygiene seemed questionable, but I wanted the Masa badly. Just after coming down the bridge into Zoo road, I noticed some bakeries on the left. You can check them out if you want. There's also a huge Sahad Store opposite Ado Bayero Mall. If you don't feel like exploring Kano city much, stick with the City Centre restaurant. The hotel says breakfast is complimentary, but I gave it up when I asked for a discount, so keep that in mind if breakfast is important to you. It seems to me the owner has stayed at many 5-Star hotels and is trying to recreate that look and feel at City Centre. So far, so good. Staff training and dedication to excellence are what they need to make that vision a reality. Yes, I'll stay there again.

The rooms are spacious and the facilities work. They offer complimentary tea, and the meals are tasty.
