Caritas Inn Igbobi

The front office team are really nice and do their work diligently. The rooms are nice too, and the air conditioning works perfectly.

There's plenty nearby, from Indomie Mallams, banks and pharmacies to supermarkets, restaurants and bukas. The hotel is close to Igbobi Orthopedic, Yabatech and Spar, with cheap transport like keke napeps and bikes easy to find. It's right by Zenith Bank in a busy commercial area, but shut the windows and it gets quiet. The building itself is clean and seems well maintained. My room's shower head looked old but worked fine. The room amenities, including AC, lights, switches, heater and TV, all worked. The classic room had a king-size bed, plus a table and chair, and everything felt clean and fresh. There was no smoking in the building, though a smoking area is just outside the restaurant. The restroom had a toothbrush, a small soap bar, toilet paper and a handheld bidet shower, but no shampoo. They also provided Lipton and milk sachets, though there was no water heater to make much use of them. There's no complimentary breakfast, and meals at the hotel average 10-15k, which gets pricey. Glovo deliveries work, and there are plenty of food sellers and snacks outside. At the time I booked in September 2024, the elevator wasn't working, as is common at many hotels on the Lagos mainland. The standard room cost 25,000 naira and was on the top floor, which would be a hassle without a working lift. I was about to book the classic room for 35,000 naira instead. Check-in starts at 2pm, later than the noon start at most hotels, while checkout is at noon. Service is decent for the price. There's no WiFi. Good value overall, about 3.5 stars, though it could be better.

Mr James welcomed me warmly when I arrived, and Ms Ujunwa at reception and Mr Johnson were great too. The staff are friendly and ready to help, including the gate man. Rooms are cleaned daily, and there’s complimentary tea and water. The water heater is a nice touch depending on the weather, the AC works well, switches are covered properly with no exposed wires, and toiletries are provided. It's easy to get to, not far from an institution and close to Waec and the famous fadeyi bus stop. They said free WiFi should be available soon, which would be great. I’d give it 4 stars for now, but it's a place worth trying when you visit. Thank me later.

I enjoyed my stay at Caritas INN. It's a really nice hotel, probably the best in jibowo, and the service from the front office through room service was 100%.
