I’ve stayed in inexpensive hotels that were still comfortable, so I can’t rate Charlie’s Place at all. When I complained about my room, customer service was rude. The TV was broken, there were mosquitoes, the fridge was dirty, and there was no toilet tissue. The sink water stank. The manager needs to improve things if they want more customers.

On 2 March, I confirmed my booking in advance and travelled all the way to Charlie’s Place, only to be told I had to book two nights because the next day was Election Day and they didn’t want empty rooms. It took hours trying to resolve it, and the manager wouldn’t show up. Since it was too late to find another hotel, I eventually paid extra for one night. I felt extorted. The staff were very unfriendly, apart from the restaurant staff.
