There were bugs in the room, which was unacceptable and raised serious concerns for me about hygiene and the hotel's standards. The experience was appalling, and I would never stay here again. I strongly advise others to avoid it. I had booked four nights in a deluxe room through Booking.com at a discounted rate. When I arrived, reception and management suddenly told me the room was “under maintenance,” without giving me any notice beforehand. I only found out at check-in, which was completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. It seemed clear to me that the real issue was the discounted rate I'd secured, not maintenance. Instead of honoring the booking, management misled me and tried to make me rebook at a higher price. I felt this was dishonest and unethical. Because of the situation and the lack of alternatives at the time, I was effectively forced to stay just one night. The staff were extremely rude and visibly hostile, especially when I stood my ground. They were unwelcoming, unprofessional, and disrespectful throughout.

The staff members were pleasant and hardworking, and they partly made up for what would have been a disaster. But we raised the breakfast issue with the receptionist late in the evening, when we didn't want to change hotels, and nothing came of the complaint. The offer said breakfast was included for two adults, but it covered only one person. We were told that was because the room was a DELUXE ROOM, which came with breakfast for one, though that wasn't indicated. The room was also set up for one, with just 1 bath towels and 1 coffee cup. The bedding was rather lucky underneath. I only noticed when stripping the bed before checkout. For a DELUXE room, the fittings were shabby and outdated, and there was no hot water. Water dripped from the air conditioner onto the pillow, maybe just condensation. The payment for a DELUXE ROOM felt misleading. At the very least, I expect a refund for the misleading deluxe room and the 2 breakfasts we paid for, plus compensation for the loss of enjoyment. I've attached pictures to show what we encountered.

The room was poorly ventilated, and the air conditioning was terrible. Even though we paid for the executive suite, the manager refused to move us and offered a standing fan instead. The staff were great, but service was poor and the manager didn't seem very good at their job. Customer service was very poor.

I needed somewhere near the airport for one night before an early flight, and it was a miserable stay. There were roaches and other bugs in the room. After I complained, a staff member sprayed pesticide while I was still staying in the room. I’d already explained at check-in that my flight was late at night and paid the extra charge for a late checkout, yet at 6 PM the front desk kept calling and harassing me about leaving. The staff and management need serious people management training. The sockets also aren’t updated for newer chargers. I’ve learned not to trust hotel photos in Lagos. If you can afford a name brand like Marriot, go there. Don’t book this if you want a good night’s rest without harassment.

I was there for two days, and nobody came to clean my room. The food was disappointing too. Breakfast took ages to arrive, and when it did, the yam and egg sauce were both cold. The yam was tough and the meal wasn’t appealing. There was far too much seasoning, but it still didn’t taste like proper Nigerian food. It felt like the seasoning was covering for a lack of real flavor. If timely service or good Nigerian food matters to you, you may not be happy here.
