The listing shows this as a 4 star property, but it felt more like 2.5 stars. In the first room I got, the AC didn’t work. They moved me to a second room, where water was leaking through the bathroom floor and there was water outside the bathroom too.

The lift still wasn’t working after two days, and I’m on the 6th floor. Since 8 AM, all I’ve heard is that they’re working on it. We’ve had to walk six straight floors up and down. The internet is poor too. Starlink or MTN fiber would have worked far better.

There’s ample, secure parking, and the rooms are standard. The service was top notch, with a complimentary breakfast buffet. CitiHeight Hotel Lagos is in Ikeja, near the heart of Lagos and a stone’s throw from the popular Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja. It’s a luxurious, affordable place for a weekend in Lagos if you don’t want to stay far from the airport. The local airport is about 15-20 minutes away with traffic. It’s a nice place for a good experience.

I paid close to 80k, which is a lot, and there are better hotels around. I wasted time and money, and had the worst experience ever. I can’t recommend this place even if they give free meals, and I wouldn’t recommend it to my enemy. The receptionist was rude, disgusting, and unapologetic, and needs to work on her manners and how she treats customers. I’d booked one night and clearly asked for a non-smoker room, but they put me in a smoker room on floor 3. The person who took me there started spraying air freshener to cover the cigarette smell, even though I’m asthmatic. When I asked to change rooms, they gave me a useless room on the 6th floor with no freezer and an AC that wasn’t working. They told me to wait 30 minutes for it to start cooling. The bedsheets were dirty and the floor was messy. Management needs to look into this. I wish I could give one star, but I can’t. I’m pissed that I wasted so much money and time.
