The one thing that worked reliably was the electricity, and the location is good. The rooms themselves are cramped, the heater didn’t work, and I found a rat in the room. Cleaning was poor, and the old sheets had what looked like cigarette burns. Even the duvet was just a bedsheet. The ACs need replacing, and the gaps around them should be sealed because mosquitoes and rats can get in. A few days after it rained, water dripped from the ceiling onto me while I was in bed. People were smoking all around, so I ended up breathing it in inside my room. They should renovate and do much better.

I’m only reviewing the bar here, not the whole property. There’s a small outdoor area that works well for just a few people. The setup is basic, and the first order took a while because the barman was late. After that, though, he checked on my friend and me about every five minutes. The service was simple and worthwhile, with no further delays. It wasn’t a bad experience.

I came in from the island the night before an early flight. For 12k, this place should have been better. The AC made a generator-like noise all night and barely cooled the room. I got soaked washing my hands because the basin wasn’t connected to anything and dirty water ran out underneath. The mattress was lumpy, the TV barely worked, and there’s nothing sweet about these “suites.” I know it’s more motel than hotel, but if you’re going to offer a room, do it well.
