Great Ville Hotel

The rooms were comfortable, the restaurant food tasted great, and the staff were polite and helpful. But I couldn't get internet in my room for my entire stay, which meant I couldn't finish work on my laptop. That's the main reason I can't rate it higher. There were other frustrations: no elevator, and one afternoon I came down to find the pool still hadn't been cleaned for the day. The location gave me chills at times. I tried going to the lounge at 5:30 a.m. to use the internet, but people sleeping there told me not to turn on the lights. I'm confused about how the lounge can be used for sleeping while I couldn't use it to work. I wouldn't book here again myself, though my family might.

We had a great stay at the older one, and the staff there were welcoming and courteous. The surroundings felt pleasant. I didn't use the pool or gym, though they looked well kept. I'd avoid the newer one if you don't want to deal with caustic reception staff.

The bathroom was impractical and awkwardly designed, and the wardrobe doors couldn't open because the table was in the way. There was no elevator, the TV wasn't smart and didn't have DStv, the shower barely trickled, and the AC remote didn't work. I could keep listing problems. At 35k a night, this hotel doesn't come close to being worth the price. It's one of the worst places I've stayed. The Signature is a solid 4-star option. They seem to have fixed these issues, and it costs only 5k more. I recommend that one, but absolutely not this hotel. They're nowhere near the same level. Hope this helps someone avoid the mistake I made.

It's a quiet, affordable three-star hotel with good staff, and breakfast comes with the room. The location is the one thing that kept me from giving it five stars. I'll surely return in the future.
