Presken Hotel Reliance

The room had mosquitoes, an uncovered bin, and a duvet too small for the mattress, leaving parts of the bed exposed and making it hard to sleep. The cupboard holding the fridge was damaged, and the AC was ancient with no remote to adjust it. They still use traditional keys instead of electronic access cards, which I found outdated for security and convenience. My wife and I also got poor, inattentive service and felt unwelcome. The receptionist handover was a mess, if they even have a handover system. As paying guests, we expected much better. These problems affected our comfort, hygiene, and the quality of the stay. I strongly urge management to fix them so others don’t have the same experience, though I don’t see them changing. I wouldn’t advise anyone to waste their hard-earned money at Presken, especially Presken @ Reliance Place Ikeja. They’re not reliable at all.

The location was the only plus for me, and there are several other options in that area. For what I paid, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had and I was so disappointed. The shower didn’t work. I complained several times and was told it would be fixed or I could change rooms, but neither happened. The floor was dirty, and the leaking bathroom was a slip hazard. The receptionist made faces when I complained, as if I had no right to better service. It’s a mess, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here. Again, don’t go.

I’ve stayed at Presken before, but this was my last time. Mosquitoes kept biting me, the AC didn’t work, and renovation noise made the stay uncomfortable and kept me from joining my online meetings. The restaurant is a whole story of its own. I’d wait hours for an order, then call to check and find out it hadn’t even been started because someone forgot. I see that as maltreatment, whether it comes from greed, wickedness, or a lack of professionalism. I hope management sorts these problems out for future guests, but I’m done with Presken.

The setting is peaceful, and the food was delicious. It’s made fresh, so you may need to be patient.
